for the loss. That means bad. You should really only use an fcd if your boosting to fuel cut sometimes, Not a way to turn up the boost more. lol.

Apparantly someone wasn't paying attention during the FCD lecture. Fuel Cut Defense is just that. It defends AGAINST the FUEL CUT associated with a turbo car. It allows you to be able to have more fuel at higher boost levels so you don't run a lean conditon. That's what an FCD is used for. Duh.

I thought a fcd just modify the signal from the air flow meter to ecu telling the ecu less air is entering so fuel cut does not occur because fuel cut works off of the amount of air entering the engine in relation can calculate how much boost the turbo is producing. I'm just guessing though.

no the stock ecu will push as much fuel as possible untill it cant push that much. then thats where upgrades such as big injectors, fuel regulator, and pump come into play. however this requires tuning. a fcd DOES modify the signal the ecu recieves, thus running the engine lean...

as stated before: fcd --> ftl
