re:

sounds actually like the internal seals are broken and the system cant build up pressure, after all its just a Hydrolic system. i had that problem with a transmission and replaces it. bought a JDM transmission online.

but a problem im having now. which i am not understanding. when i start driving will stay in first gear until it warms up a little bit.

It sounds like the infernal pressure disc unit has a glitch in the coupler device. You can fix it by moving the shifter up and down and not pressuring the lifter when you see the red light come on, but your girlfiend should not be looking at it when that happens or it will never go into gear 2 while warming the gearbox up three times and cleaning the filter to let the fluid drain into the lower case box.

If that made any sense to anyone then they should be able to diagnose this transmission problem. I have been working on my cars as a hobby for many years and worked on them as a mechanic a while back and I still can't tell if he is trying to fix a manual transmission, automatic transmission or trying to fix the muffler bearings.

Good luck with it.

okay for the last time it is an automatic transmission and the problem is that there is no movement in the car when i put it into drive or second gear or first gear and the reverse does not work either

OK, I guess this question has already been answered, but I missed it somewhere. The mods listed below the question, are they your car or your girlfriends? If it is for the girlfriends car then the Clutch masters FX300 is a waste of money because that is a replacement for a MANUAL transmission.

If it is indeed an automatic transmission then either the filter is clogged, the torque converter is bad or the fluid level is way low or non existent. If the second is the problem then the trans has to come out and if it is out then you might as well ahve a shop look at it. If the first and third is bad then fix those and see what happens.

The last thing I can think of is that the linkage is not hooked up and the trans is not being moved into any gears at all and that means crawling under the car to check that part. If you decide to change to a manual tranny, it is possible, I have done it, but you run into some issues in the change that can be annoying. Like the cruise control won't work and the O/D light stays on all the time.
