89 supra. lots of problems.. HELP!!

ok this just started on friday of last week.

i got out of the car, went inside to get something come back out to leave and it starts then quickly sputters and cuts out. tried it again same thing. but if i rev it really hard, it will keep going but i dont want to hurt the engine anymore than i probably alrady did.

someone told me it may be because of a dirty fuel filter, injector, etc.

if you can help me explain where are all these things your talking about are located so i can clean them.

codes??? Could be AFM, vacuum leak, e.t.c

If you can get the codes from the computer that would help narrow things down...

I could easily belive it to be a dirty injector. Are there any new whistling sounds? That would mean a vacuume leak.

hmmm

sounds like a fuel problem or a vacuum leak, i would check the engine compartment for any loose hoses, if the car dont stay on though its going to be hard to do. check fuel pressure, if your under specs probably a bad fuel pump or restricted fuel filter, the fuel filter is located right above the differential in front of the fuel tank. what kind of maintenance does your car get, have you ever had your fuel injection system cleaned, try replacing the fuel filter and running some fuel injection cleaner in your gas. but try diagnostics first before you start spending money.

Fuel? i run the lowest octane and find that works the best in my car i went to middle grade and the car seemed to drive alot better when warm but it spitted and sputtered when it was cold?

the codes i have is 26 25 and 51 and now theres a leaky hose in the back. i tihnk its from the radiator because i had no fluids in the radiator i put some antifreeze and water in it [50/50] and then steam came out from behind the engine and from the radiator hole. i burnt my hand from the steam . and yeah..
