Exclamation Question about Mk3 turbo

I'm currently rebuilding the engine.. I'm doing it to fit high performance. My mechanic told me that my turbo isnt working properly, it isnt turning fast enough. I either have to buy a new one or a used one.. What should i do. I went to the toyota dealer. they told me a new stock turbo would be around 2-3 grand. I think thats too much seeing as thats how much i paid for the car. Is there any way i can get my own turbo rebuilt? if so.. how much would it be?

that sounds more like the price for the pipes the intercooler and the turbo... you can get a turbo from like hks or greddy or somthing for like 600 bucks.

on the left side of the screen there is a list of the car makes click toyota then it will send you to a page with alot more option click on turbos, then look at the four there the first one is like 600 bucks and i think that one that supports up to 300hp or 350 hps is like 1045. i mean if you look around on some performance websites for just the turbo you should be able to find some that will fit on your car for cheap
