Talking engine removal issue :\

hey all i decided to fix my supra by doin a swap..i dont know much but i've already disconnected everything except for the tranny..i disconnected the bottom four bolts located @ the bottom of the bell housing but i dont know where the last couple of bolts are. I can sort of feel one behind the headers but its hard to reach and i cannot reach anything on the opposite side of the engine. I already bought the newer 7mge, head gasket, timing belt, water pump, and tomorrow i will geta power steering pump (already busted which caused a big mess under the car) I just need some info about disconnecting the tranny from the engine and where to go from then on. Thank you for any help posted :]

auto or manual?

there are two bolts at the top behind the head, you can get to them with a little bit of mucking around with 2 14mm spanners, use the 2nd spanner as leverage

of course i gather you have the starter motor out?

don't forget down the bottom you also have the brackets which bolt from the block to the tranny

8 bolts total you need to undo the separate the bellhousing from the block
if you are automatic then you'll need to undo the 6 torque converter bolts as well

good luck

no problemo

also if your engine has never been out you will need to unbolt the bolts that hold the brackets for the tranny cooler lines to the block or when you pull it up you're gonna be bringing up the tranny lines and bending them hehe

have fun
