Greetings,
My 91 Supra left me stranded tonight, wife had to bail me out.

OK,
1991 non turbo.....auto
Car has been running perfect...put a K&N kit on it about a week ago, has been running fine for the last week.....all of a sudden ker plunk, car dies in the middle of an intersection..fires back up and idles ok, but will not take any fuel to get her moving wants to sputter and die....pulled off the neg batt cable hoping to reset the ECU...attached it back on after a while...started her up, ran a little better untill hitting the lower rpm's and wants to die...so, I drove in 2nd all the way home without to many issues..still wanted to die in the 2000 RPM range shifing into D

any idea's.....other than put the old intake system back in

Angry Supra Wont start

My 90- Supra will not start up, it will sound like it but it never ignites. Mechanic told the igniter was bad. Got a used one on line same result. The battery was replaced and I was jump starting my car after I changed igniter and still no start up. Any suggestions?

HELP

Thumbs up Supra Wont start

Suprra Girl you are all that! info that you left me helped. My igniter was fine I had a short in a wire harness that connect to coil pacK. I am awaiting one now. The terrible thing about the whole situation was that 1 connecter was partialy out that was attache to the set of fuel injecters and I pushed that back in, recharged the battery and wiggled the shorted wire........back in business. Supraa Girl and another member sent me a online manual that led me to trouble shoot that. THANKS!!!! I now need to track down a good 7MGTE motor. Mines has rod knock forgot that the missess drove w/o oil 3 years ago. still runs but never like it did when I first bought it. IT RUNS>>>IT RUNS thanks ya'll

GMKC

Now I have 2 good igniters for a 7mgte for sell and a non turbo coil igniter. I might just sit on em and wait for a parts draught...LOL

Ill buy em. How much are you looking for? I think one or 2 of mine is bad. I have symptoms similar to yours. My car(88 turbo auto) will not start for shit. It just sputters a few times. But once it does start, It runs great. And then today the tach wasnt moving when i cranked it, Like it usually does.

Thumbs up Igniter for Sale GMKC

ISPHIUS,

I have no problem selling 1, I will keep 1 as an extra. $50 you can pick it up I am in South River. Check the harness on your fuel injecters. what happened was, i changed the igniter and it did exactly what you just described. I walked my hand along the side of my engine on the driver side of the engine and checked each injecter connecter, the last one I got to "click" pushed it in recharged the battery. No problems every since. I am changing my coil pack because a short was in that harness too. I could just change the harness that was the last thing needed to do but I will change it out totaly and keep the orig as a spare. Try that and then let me know. What I found was that my igniter was good, the 2 i bought good too so, try that and give me a hit. But if I can help you in any way the igniter is yours.

Read Suprra girls hit and there is an online manual that has a dynamic trouble shooter chart.

I do need a car stereo what you asking?
