max upgrade 7mgte

Well, I'm looking for a way to get my engine maxed out. But I dunno what upgrades I could perform to get my engine maxed out. What conversions are possible? I heard about people going for a 1.5 JZ, what's deal? Can it be done and is it useful?

2.5L 2jz is nice and yes it can be done... the engine is twin turbo 320hp i do believe and there selling prices are 2200-2500$ U.S.

the 1jz is pretty much the same as the 7m-gte... but twins 2.5L

2jz is a 3.0l

The 1jz is a 2.5L twin turbo, and its 280 hp. 2js iz 3 L and 320. The 1jz i believe is a drop in, or takes little mods, Not for the 2j tho.

I heard about the 1jz being similar to the 7mgte. But what exact tweaks are needed? Plus I heard about what people describe as a 1.5jz. Can you upgrade an 7mgte to an 1.5jz?

have never heard of such an engine... sorry

Engines

The main engines that are discussed at length here are:

7M-GTE (Turbo MKIII 1986.5 - 1988)
7M-GE (N/A MKIII 1986.5 - 1994)

1JZGTE (Twin Turbo) (From the 1989-1994 MKIII TURBO)

2JZGTE(Twin Turbo) (From the MKIV)

Those are the popular ones, however my years for the model may be one year off. The beginning numbers have nothing to do with the liter of the engine, and there is no KNOWN 1.5JZ-GTE engine that I know of.

You cannot make a 1JZ-GTE engine from a 7M-GTE....at least not to my knowledge, or research. But then again, nothing is impossible, if you have enough money.

A 1.5jz is not an actually engine code, its what people call a 2jz bottom end mated to a 1jz Head.

ive actually heard of the 1.5jz engine when i was talking to a supra fanatic (he has 3 mkIII in his shop being bulit..two of them with 1jz and one with a 7mgte) and i asked him about uprgrades for my supra which he is working on (the 7mgte one) and he told me its possible...but i forgot wha part of the engine i had to change to get the 1.5jz done...buh if i can get a hold of him n e time soon ill ask him about the 1.5jz motor

Aaron will tell you, there is no way to make a 7m into a 1.5jz. BELIEVE ME ON THIS ONE.

2jz bottom end + 1jz head = 1.5jz that simple!!
