Wink Engines

The main engines that are discussed at length here are:

7M-GTE (Turbo MKIII 1986.5 - 1988)
7M-GE (N/A MKIII 1986.5 - 1994)

1JZGTE (Twin Turbo) (From the 1989-1994 MKIII TURBO)

2JZGTE(Twin Turbo) (From the MKIV)

Those are the popular ones, however my years for the model may be one year off. The beginning numbers have nothing to do with the liter of the engine, and there is no KNOWN 1.5JZ-GTE engine that I know of.

You cannot make a 1JZ-GTE engine from a 7M-GTE....at least not to my knowledge, or research. But then again, nothing is impossible, if you have enough money.

Our Supra’s, which art in the driveway,
Hollowed be thy power, thy mods are great, thy speed endless,
On the road or at the track. Give us this day free of cops,
And forgive us our impound charges, as we forgive those who are slow.
And lead us not into speed traps, and deliver us from the interceptors,
For thine is our car, the power, and the glory…forever and ever….amen.

A 1.5jz is not an actually engine code, its what people call a 2jz bottom end mated to a 1jz Head.

Aaron will tell you, there is no way to make a 7m into a 1.5jz. BELIEVE ME ON THIS ONE.

2jz bottom end + 1jz head = 1.5jz that simple!!

well, the main thing is, I ain't got a 1jz engine even though I got a 1990 MKIII 3.0 Turbo Supra. But I read a thread were people were talking about converting a 7M-GTE to a 1JZ. And a 1JZ can be blended with parts of the 2JZ engine to get a 1.5JZ. So am I totally blind to suppose that it's possible to go from a 7M-GTE to a 15.JZ? Well , "inline6 turbo" (user name), see what you can find out plz. It would be a considerable update for the mark III.

It is possible to go from a 7m to a 1.5jz. Take out your 7m and sell it to me for free, then buy a 2jz bottom end and put a 1jz head on top off the 2jz bottom end and install it in your car. Its not rocket science. All the info is out there if you'd just look. There is a search button, use it and this is not the best forum for finding out things like this.
