JDM vs American

Supposedly my 86.5 has a JDM engine, but what tangible visible proof is there on the engine that differentiates it from an american 7mge?

The emissions part of the engine.

well, the JDM engine that I bought came with the EGR block off plates er.. no egr valve or wiring for it..also the throtle linkage is different..
