check out the "my car is overheating" in the faq's... and yes a head gasket is a possibility
 have you burped the cooling system yet? if you are planning on high hp i would suggest a metal head gasket with arp head studs and get your block and head machined as close to single digit RA numbers as possible... the mhg will rely on a perfect finish good luck
