On this car, I really think that they last longer than other engines (but do tend to have leaks). I have had, seen, inspected, & had professionally inspected two 7M Engines. And both did not even need to be bored after 120kmis and 140kmis. Be wary of what mechanics tell you or how they try to sway you. If it works fine, don't change it. That is my opinion. If you did a leak down test or a compression test, then that is one thing; but to say you need a rebuild just because it has--what you/your mechanic say is--high mileage is another issue.
