Talking supra turbo tuning

thanks for the info never thought the engines would be that strong ,head gasket was replaced at 65000 its only on 70000 genuine miles now would the standard gasket last with just the 3inch exhaust done on its own as I will use a mhg when I up the boost on the turbo,do Ineed to chip the ecu or does the boost controller do this anyway, are the fuelling fpr ,pump , injectors ok as stock .one last question honest, will the standard cooling system be ok at 300 hp.as you can tell im completely new to the world of turbos ,thanks for the help.dale

The cooling system will be fine, just make sure your oil cooler is good to go and the turbo will be happy. If your new to turbos you should know that you never drive and then shut down, always let the car idle a bit to blow off extra heat and get the turbo temps into the right range, otherwise you shut the car off and bake oil in the turbo. Change oil at least every 5K and if your being rough on her the manual recommends 2500. Flush the coolant system and make sure everything is running right there. If you just got the car catch up on the basic maintenance, brake fluid, tranny fluid/gear lube, rear end, etc. the 7MGTE is, like alot of Toyotas, very over designed so its solid even with upgrades and abuse.

You can do alot... if the car is already in excellent stock condition. Valves still sealing right, head not warped, everything in the crank in order. Trying to slam power out of car that isn't in good condition means you're gonna break something. Maintenance is key
