Default Head Gasket work

I have finaly got everything off, Now just so i dont screw my self over completly

I take off the old gasket

scrape off the what left over

I cleaned all the cooling vents on the block (that was some nasty stuff)

How do i check if the head has warped ( I hope to hell it hasent)

I have a replacement head gasket set

what els should i do before i start putting it back togeather?

you better hope that your head isnt warped. mine was, it was warped really bad. my mechanic had to send it out to a specialist so they could alumminum splatter it and fix it. would have cost me a lot but he did it for me at his cost. which was still about $300.

I took off the cam gears by using a monkey wrench to hold the cam shafts where the notch is and then it doesnt move,

Im having trouble taking off the crank pully, im putting on another timming belt, any ideas

Im confused am i checking to see if the cam half of the head is warped or the piston half or if both are warped
