Default intercooler+hoses

I've heard that the standard supra intercoolers aren't that great. I'm thinkin about changing my intercooler and intercooler pipes but i wanna know, if i'm gonna fork out the coin, that it's gonna be worth my while. If anyone has done this mod(I have the 1jz conversion, 3" exhaust, k&N filter and run around 13-14psi) Am i gonna get bang for my buck?

it's not going to be anywhere near as big a bang as the 3" exhaust

A bigger intercooler may make the turbos spool a bit slower. It will however allow more power to be had in conjunction w/ other modifications. If you are planning on adding a lot more power to your engine then an upgraded intercooler would be a good idea. However, the 1JZ intercooler is better than the 7M intercooler...in fact a lot of 7M owners will switch to the 1JZ intercooler especially when doing a front facing intake manifold moddification. Your 1JZ intercooler should be fine w/ the mods you have done and if you don't plan on making a whole lot more power.

i have the 7M intercooler. I've done the 1jz conversion but haven't changed the intercooler. So maybe it is worth changing?
