As far as exhaust, the best way to go is with a good header and a larger, less restrictive exhaust system. The header will give you the best gains. Look for a good quatlity header, one with a good coating. The six cylinder sounds much better than a 4 cylinder engine, but if you can still get too annoying with the exhaust noise resonance inside the car with not a good enough type of muffler.

K&N stock replacement filter is better than any cold air system? How come all the highly modified supras I've seen have cai? And how would a cold air filter get wet?

Any recommendations/links to some high quality headers? Also, I've read that 2.5" is optimal exhaust size for a na engine car...Is this true?
