Hi and welcome to the forum.
May I compliment you on your fine writing  oneguymadeapost liek thisand itwas very hardto readrecetnly About your car: What do you mean you have a worn turbo? excessive shaft play? (Just want to be sure.) As far as this car goes, many seem to lose oil due to old gaskets and leaks. The biggest thing to watch out for with these cars is the common blown head gasket (BHG).
