You're in the wrong forum, you have a MkIV. Try to remember to use puctuation like commas, periods, and a question mark. That guy dosen't know what he's talking about, the 2jz has massive potential, and if you have to ask a forum about it, God be with you.

First, please try to use a periods instead of one long sentence. (easier for people to read) ;)

Second, why are you posting in the mk3 section when you say your car is 97 (mk4)?

Third, what does "dog out" mean?

fourth, he has the same car as you but he says it is crap??, thats just funny, IMO... what motor do you have?

sorry to pick on your first post
welcome to the forums..

ninja edit..damm u bullseye , you beat me to it... (j/k)

and how much is side mirror cuz this guy wants to sell me one for 25 dollars. i live in south fl ne one know ne good places to get stuff for my car

joel w 01-15-2006 09:27 PM

punctuations not a big deal, it just helps.. hahhaha, So i assume you have the 7m-gte. the biggest issue with this motor is the head gasket tends to blow out. not a big deal though.. IMO

more and more of these 7m's are being modded to over 400hp with nothing much done to the block, and some up to and over 7-800hp w/ supporting mods..

josecampos47 01-15-2006 09:38 PM

how hard is it replace a head gasket and what else can i do u know like intake or exhuast ne help would be great none of the one reply. How long u been on this what kinda car u got. and im not lookin for 800+ jus a nice ride and enough to get the poin across u know:D .

the headgasket is not all that difficult, i did mine myself. so do most supra owners. beats paying a shop to do it and you know it was done right...

I've had my car for 2 yrs, just modded it this summer. installed this stuff.
Big upgraded ct26 turbo, Custom IC pipes, Spearco IC, Altered 3000 pipe, 4" K&N, Monza ssqv, HKS fcd, stage 3 pressure plate, Ported head, Intake and Exh. manifold, 3" DP 3" Megan GT. mild mods compared to some...

suprra_girl made a nice write-up on basic performance upgrades, (bpu)'s

However true this maybe, I would not recommend a novice mechanic or someone not mechanically inclined to tackle this project.

Here are some tips if you do plan to attempt it yourself.

bullz is probably right, but there is sooo much info on how to step by step fix the 7m bhg that i would think most people could if they do the searching and reading required before hand./ imho.. everyone should learn especially if your planning on any mods..
