well here's an interesting one

yes the supra is cool... i would get one over a beema anyday but.............

you will not get the reliability from a supra that you would from your beema well not until you've done a few things

if you get the 89 supra i would save up the $$ and do all the machine work necessary on the head and block and install a new head gasket with arp head studs... then at least your head gasket is reliable... make sure it is torqued to 72ft lbs

the supra is alot cheaper to modify than your beema by the looks of it but do watch the modifying bug hehe... it will take you victim

if you want a reliable supra replace all water hoses... get a radiator company to flush your radiator, new hg, new water pump, thermo, rad cap etc etc

then your engine should be fairly sound

then all you have to worry about is drivetrain breakages :P (which really don't happen often hehe)

its really up to you... do it properly and you'll have reliability
