Default suspension question

Ok, question!!! But first some history!!! I have been a huge supra fan my whole life. Parted with my first mk2 right after collage for a newer more reliable car. But I never lost sight of the supra. A couple years age I finally convinced my wife that I needed a project car. I bought a hailed out, wrecked, non running 89 NA Targa with 130k. It has taken me two years to put it back together. Ebay has been my friend. All the work I have done myself. All body work, paint, interior, engine work ect. I am no mechanic I am a advertising executive. So proof positive when you are devoted and want something enough anything is possible. The car is in storage for winter, all that I need to be 100% finished is stock front air dam/lip, mine is missing. Car apperars and is 100 percent stock. Now that I have put it back together and got to drive it this last summer I am ready for mods (7mgte). I want to first start with wheels/tires and suspension. I dont like the looks of huge wheels skinny tires. I am planning on a aftermarket 17 chrome rim that looks close to the original stock star rim from 91/92. I am planning on 245/45 front and 275/40 rear. I want to lower the car but I dont want to slam it. I want a clean look. Anyone have any sugestions for springs ect.
Thanks

Car looks good! What is your price range? Coilovers would be best, but it'll cost $1k+ good part is you can adjust the hieght til you like it! I'd go with 18" rims, but thats just me, 17 look good too. If you want something like the 91-92 rims you should look for some 93-98 twin turbo rims. Those fit the tires you want and fit the mk3 perfectly. I prefer painted but the chrome looks good on some cars. I think you can get the wheels from toyota still? or used. Good luck.

Thanks for the info Nate!!!! After looking at your car you may be right 18s may be the way to go. I like the look of sidewall not all rim and no tire. As far as $ goes!!!! I have a house, 1st child on the way and all of the responsibilities of an adult. So $1k for suspension is not going to happen. My struts are fine. I was just thinking about springs. All that I can seem to find are 1.5 front and 1 rear. I like the looks of your car and I would be fine with that stance. I am unsure if 1.5 front and 1 rear will give me close to the stance of your car. Any other pictures or sugestions would be appreciated.

Thanks da soup

ive heard the eibbach give about a 2" drop...need to check on that. but if you are gonna change the springs might wanna change the struts too, unless they are already new

I put eibachs on my 89t with the stock struts, handled better and looked better. I think it was a little bit lower than my current setup(tien flex coilovers). I really like the adjustability I have now though. I can make it as aggressive as the eibachs or as smooth as stock. I also had 17's on that car. Unfortunately I only have one picture of it and its on my other computer that took a dump on me the other day... The supra tt wheels look great though, also look into tsw, they have some nice wheels 8.5 wide and 9.5 wide for the wheels. Thruxtons look excellent IMO. good luck
