Default light issue

my left headlight just started acting up tonight. i turn my lights on, and only the right light works. so initially i thought that it was the bulb in the light that was burnt out. which i thought was weird cuz they are new lights. so i put my lights to hi-beam. and low and behold, the light goes on when in hi-beam mode, but not low-beam mode. i checked everything i could think of. i havent replaced the bulb....but could something that simple resovle it??

to sum up:: left light does not work in low beam. works in hi beam for some reason.

It might be that simply. Get a test light and check the connector at the back of the bulb to see if you have power to the bulb. One wire is hi-beam, one is ground, the last is low-beam.

there are 2 elements inside the headlight,, one for hi and one for low.. sounds like just the low is toast?
