Easy Fix for weather/molding strip !!
Im sure our Supras are the best looking cars in our town, but our weather stripping just isnt keeping up, its cracked, fadded and dieing!!, but dont worry its easy to fix! I was getting a custom windshield vinal done when the guy noticed my weather striping, he told me that its a patrolume based trim, and i should take some vasoleen on a rag and rub it right into the trim. so i tried it and its awesome!! it really brought it back to life and its been a few weeks and still looks great. it only takes a few minutes and is well worth it.

people use that for when their targas are leaking, good thing i got hardtop, though im still skeptical about that...if it gets hot wouldnt it melt? so ull get all this shit all over you while ur driving....i dunno

yaa
wat about the rubber that surrounds the outter glass on the hatch and winshield and rear side windows. it is peeling and ugly. Chrome underneath the peeling rubber. PLEASE help me find a way to replace that stuff.

The rubber (when new) is actually a seal. It has a lip on each side which seals against the glass on one side and the body on the other. You're not going to be able to really fix it. Pull it check for rust underneath, make sure the windows are still well sealed and then either paint it black again, reinstall (with new clips) and then seal as best you can with some silicone or try to find replacements in the best shape possible.... Sadly most of those parts are no longer available new from Toyota so you have to make the best with what you have. The seal on the trim around the windshield is probably the most critical one and is responsible for about half of the wet headliners and rust along the windshield out there (on hard top models it's about 90%).
