Default stock parts: what are they good for?

i have a 90 turbo supra and i was wondering how much horsepower a stock turbo can make, a stock intercooler, and stock fuel injectors. what should be the first to be upgraded? I also have a cometic head gasket, how many psi will it take to blow this or blow my crank out of the bottom end?

.

In stock form, 232hp. did you stud the head when you put in the new gasket or reuse the old bolts at the factory torque? Your question is very general, first, how much power depends on how much you want to spend. The stock ECU, even with the upgrade is only good to about 450hp because of the MAF, thats the limiting factor. you can use the MAF from a lexus, but drivability sucks unless your at WOT. If you have a couple of grand lying around (give it to me)lol...get a new turbo with a header style manifold and do the exhaust first. That and a CAI will give you the most feel in your seat. I don't know what it would take to blow the crank out the bottom, I've seen MK3's put down close to 1000whp with significant bottom end upgrades. Of course, those cars are for show and demo purposes only. They wern't raced or anything.

Default bolts

I used ARP bolts torqued to 75 lbs\ft. I already have a 3" exhaust from the turbo back, would you still recommend doing the manifold\ turbo first?... that intercooler looks pretty restrictive... what is a CAI
