when was the last time you had your car serviced?
maybe it's in need of new waterpump, radiator cap & thermostat, probly most likely you need a new radiator cap... is the pool of coolant coming from the area where the water bottle is at the front of the car or a different place, check all your hoses for splits etc
looking for old rusty water sitting on your motor will help you to find leaks as well

most likely your fluid that's on the ground will be ps fluid, the hoses going to the reservoir have probly just finally aged
another place that loves making supra owners replace them is the suages (fittings) in the main power steering line that bolts to the side of the strut tower, you can develop a leak there

have a look around your engine and see what you can find or at least what area it's coming from and what colour it is

good luck

I have a similar problem....my 88 is leaking radiator juice from the back of the motor somewhere, and dripping on/around the exhaust manifold. i thought it was a broken heater core or hoses...all replaced, and i blocked off the heater core but its still leaking. and its not the head gasket....so i dont know where else it could be coming from? anyone else that has a similar problem? please help
