Default Energy bushing kits

Has anybody installed the energy bushing kit on their mk3. I would like to install them on my supra but I heard they start squeaking after a while. I also read that the black set is better then the red cause they dont squeak like the red ones do.

I can't speak for Energy Suspension's offering but yes, poly bushings may squeek if not properly lubricated or if lubricant needs to be reapplied. That said, a good PTFE lubricant can last for years on a daily driven vehicle. The stiffness of the bushing material will play into how prone they are to making noise.

My daily driver is a MR2 and I've swapped out a few bushings with Prothane bushings about 3 years ago... Still no noise to speak of. Now that doesn't mean there won't be. Urethane bushings wear differently and do need to be re-lubricated from time to time. The design, characteristics of the specific material and application dictate how often this may be.

I think I'm going to go with the black set because I found this on their website.

The only difference between the red and black parts is that most Black Energy Suspension parts are Graphite Impregnated. This serves to help self lubricate the bushings. The Red parts do not have this characteristic. Aside from the actual color and the lack of being Graphite Impregnated - the red parts are essentially the same as the black.
