Default 1987 Supra rear lower control arm buhsing replacement (knuckle side)

I'm having a problem with the front tires wearing faster on the inside of the driver side and also on the outside of the passenger side. This must be from compensating for the car trying to steer to the right. I had the car aligned a few months ago and they did the best they could. The problem seems to be with the rear alignment. I jacked up the car and began pulling and pushing the wheels to look for worn components and found that the bushing in the knuckle that the lower control arm bolts to has some movement back and forth at the eight o'clock position of the wheel. I put my hand down there and felt it rocking back and forth slightly with a clicking noise. I disconnected the trailing rod and the lower control arm to move the knuckle out to inspect the bushing. It must be ball type bushing because when I put the bolt through it and tightened the nut down it would move along a center axis. Pushing the bolt back and forth holding both ends confirmed that the bushing needs replacing. The movement gets amplified with the wheel on. Has anyone had any experience replacing this bushing? I was hoping to press set out on the car with a socket and the C clamp using a bigger socket on the other side to receive the bushing or get a loan-a-tool from autozone. Is a hydraulic press or arbor press really necessary? That would mean taking the knuckle off of the car.
