Default Cold Start Questions

Okay so here's my deal,
I know the cold start switch is at the very top of my thermo housing (7mge). However two things-

1. Where do I buy a new one? When I look is it called a coolant temp switch as well cause I've looked and can't find any links to temp/time switches?

2. My connector for this guy is broke, so I have a green and a black wire for the switch, referencing from the the connector on the switch, it has a little mark in the middle, which wire goes where?

The TEWD actually does have this information.

Look at the diagram for the wire colors and the connector designation (in this case it's (I) ). Now, look through the rest of the pages in that section (there are only two total) and find the diagram of connector (I). There you go.

There are a couple temp sensors on each model and they change depending on the generation too. If you want to be sure, ALWAYS go in with the actual Toyota part number.

Look in the EPC at the list of other vehicles which use the same part number as yours. Many vehicles use them: Cressida, Camry, Celica, Previa, etc. Then hit some salvage yards and grab a couple.

Worst case you could wire up a momentary push button switch and a relay for a manual cold start primer.
