mk3 supra differntial fluid

hello ive got a 1990 toyota supra turbo. i got a lsd differential in the back of the car and i was wondering whats the best fluid i can get for it at like autozone or oreily's or napa. i heard i need to use 90 weight gear oil and then add some thing else but please tell me the right thing before i ruin my differntial.

I used redline in the last couple I had apart. The additive is a friction modifier which makes the fluid a little slicker so the clutch packs can slip a little easier when the wheels are turning at different rates. Add just a little, take it for a spin and add more if the diff feels tight or the outer wheel looses traction and chirps through turns. Any COMPETENT clerk at a parts store will be able to help you find it. I don't like buying oils with it already added when just changing fluid in an old diff as there may be too much.

People like 6th gen Celicas, Twinkies, seafoam and Lucas oil stabilizer... and they all suck. Popularity means NOTHING.

That said, I do like Redline. A good oil will never need additional additives, clutch packs and some automatic transmissions are an exception. See my previous post about clutch type LSDs and additives.
