i dont know how the TEMS works whith automatics but on my 7mgte 5sped manual i have a sport and normal button in whitch to choose from and the susspension adjusts acordingly, also a 3rd option of high performance which is turned on at WOT and high spped manuvers/ hard braking.

P.S. what ranma is dead on google is a great tool even tho i sometimes forget to use it

My Japanese spec 86.5 Supra with GA70 and automatic had it. No difference, the GA70 was the 2 litter version of the engine.

Stock there are only two setting. The HKS TEMS controller uses a different controller ECU and has a three button panel. Many MKIII's didn't have the option and just had a coin try or had the controls for the heated seats there(not a USDM option). The diagnostic information in the TSRM (link in the FAQ section) explains how they should operate.... such as three bars at WOT and braking when on the sport setting.

TEMS wasn't necessarily rare, per se... but it was more common in the US market than elsewhere. The European manual (which covers LHD and RHD models and German models which had a number of differences) doesn't even talk about it.
