Yea but he said he had his 7mge rebuilt. Why would he ditch his new motor for a unknown motor unless he is trying to get alot of hp and plans on rebuilding the 7mgte to.

I wouldn't bother so long as GTE pistons are installed or the CR has been reduced some other way. I would also get the stock oil location drilled out versus doing a return to the oil pan, especially if you tend to like boosting while in the "twisties".

Well I have wiseco piston and eagle rods so I'm good.

Yeah? What's the dish volume (are they GE or GTE or other)? What's your static CR? Are you planning on drilling out the bosses for the GTE's knock sensors? Oil cooling? e t c . . .

I'm not really asking... just pointing out things that many don't consider.

9:1 compression. Already running a oil cooler with thromsate And yes on the knocks.

I think that with a degree in such year shall be 8.4 as for 7mgte? or with the pistons survive?

The way those pistons are manufactured allows them to better handle unpredictable combustion and higher temperature; They are made with a different process. You could not safely use "cast" pistons at higher compression ratios.
