I like how nobody works when they're at work lol

When you changed the struts, did you check/replace the strut mount bushings as well?

sounds like bad control arm bushings possibly.

knocking is usually associated with bad bushings, bad ball joint or bad bearings. all have different variations of "knock" sound.

youd hear a whirring sound at speed and a clicking at very low speeds if it was a bearing. if it was knocking, ud be in some smelly brown stuff (ask me how i know).

ball joints click and/or knock when turning or during suspension articulation, so its possible but if you already checked then ur fine.

bushings will present a heavy knocking noise, especially when compressing the suspension, depending on where the bushing has cracked.

ive had this happen a few times, and normally they arent hard to replace.

the other thing it may be is sway bar bushings so check them too.

if its the bushings, get a prothane front end bushing kit. itll stiffen up the front end nicely and last longer than oem.

I have this problem as well. I read on here somewhere that it could be some sort of "steering stopper". Basically it's a nylon cover that goes over your steering stop bolt. They said that it can fall off or rub off with age. Not sure if I'm right so u might want to look into it some more buddy.

if ur talking about the bump stops, yes there are alot of yotas with them. my truck has them as well. but i get no "knocking" sound from them. more an eary creeking noise, only extremely high pitched and ear piecing.

you can purchase new bump stops online. they dont last long unfortunately.
