Default MAFT questions?

any running a MAFT system as a speed density? I saw some videos of cars running a maft system as a speed density is there an additional attachment for this or is it just for other cars like dsm etc.? either way my kvafm went out and a friend has a used MAFT for sale cheap so im gonna pick it up and go MAFT. i was just wondering how to go about using the MAFT as a speed density.

You need MAFT PRO to run in speed density. It is not a function of a regular translator which will only allow the use of a larger GM MAF sensor instead of the KVAFM. It also allows you to run in "blow through" configuration which means you can vent your BOV without stalling.
CRE used to have a bunch of info in his sig about it. Hopefully he will have something better to add.

The original MAF Translator and the MAFT Gen II only support MAF conversions; No S/D or solo MAP setups. That said, there's a lot to be said for the GM MAF... They're still a much preferred meter for upgraded setups. The KVAFM is an EXCELLENT meter but the minute you want something a good deal larger or want to run blow-through, you're screwed (You can run a MAF in a blow-through setup with little difficulty).
