not sure on how tall the engine is from bottom of the pan to top of the valve covers, but my mid-sump pan, from the rail to the bottom of the sump, was around 4.5 inches if i recall...i could be wrong though...
its prolly around 20 inches tall, give or take a few inches. when i get around my storage unit ill measure everything for ya.

What I actually need is a sump that is all the way at the back. At a guess, it would not extend beyond the halfway point on the engine, possibly about half way on cylinder #4.
And how tall is it from the high point of the sump, not the lower bit that holds the oil, to the top of the engine with all the bits hung on it? I hate to think what kind of power this beast would make with triple side-drafts....... |
