Don't mess with the actuator if the turbo is new, you may void any warranty. Put a good boost gauge on and find out exactly how much you are running. If it reads too high, something is wrong and you should call and ask Drift Motion. It's not easy to mess up the install other than leaks (I believe the actuator and hose are already installed and set) . I've heard they're very helpful to their customers though I have yet to use them. My friend has a 57 trim from them and its a great turbo (hits 10 psi without a boost controller with the same upgrades as mine).
If you have downpipe/exhaust, intake or intercooler pipe upgrades you may see slightly higher than normal boost. With a 3" DDP, full 3"l hi flowing exhaust, 2.5" intercooler/piping and an intake I was seeing 9psi regularly with the stock ct-26 and no boost controller (5 speed). After I installed an electric boost controller it dropped to 6 psi max (with the controller off). I have no explanation for the drop in psi. |
