Default 7mgte ECU

Quick ?.Are ECUs year specific, I bought a 7mgte JDM motor and the ecu was damaged,when I got the replacement I noticed the part numbers were different,I put in in and I can't get the motor to run right.

I did the jdm swap and my car runs very good you have to swap your wiring harness from your old 7mgte and just hook the old ecu up, the one your car came with , the wiring harness that came with my jdm was diffent so i had to swap the wiring harness and the throttel body and the planum thats all i did if you need help on this i have pic on how to do it.

I had an N/A in the car so it was a non turbo to a turbo it's just that is the ECU year specific?that is 89 motor 89 ECU?I noticed the part numbers are different,even though they are both for 7mgte motors

ok man try this first go to your car bc mine did this after i put the engine in, The alarm on your car can make your car not start put your key in the door and lock it and unlock it do this like 5 times and then try to start it, o and are you useing the wireing harness that came with the jdm 7mgte

Ok man you need to go to a junkyard and get a ecu from a supra thats a turbo and its the same yr as your car and how many rpm does your supra have like right on the red line i have one of the 89 yrs that has 6500 rpm
