The 7mgte is a turbo motor or do you have a 7mge? And the pistons will be different.

Rockauto.com has kits or magauto is good for oem. But the kit you are looking at looks more brand x. I would at least buy a nice headgasket and arp headbolts. And are you redoing the head also?

The turbo kit would work but the pistons r lower compression which means on a non turbo motor less power

Sometimes you'll find kits cheaper if you search for "Cressida" instead of Supra... There are a couple different gaskets on the intake but that's all, EVERYTHING else is the same.

I've had good luck order OEM type parts from an eBay vendor named Mizumo Auto Parts. I don't see any full kits in their listings right now but you could contact them to see what kind of deal they'd make you. If you were to buy parts from their current listings you should be able to piece a full kit together for about the same price.

what would be a good web site to get some good rods for it? i think im just better off rebuilding the top end not quite sure yet, the motor is just about ready to be pulled , when i got the car it hasent been ran for awhile i only payed 400 for it and the guy who i had bought it from put a new cluch and new head gasket on it and he drove it for like 100 pluse miles and it started knocking really bad so when i got it i put a new battery in it and started the beast up and like he said it had a really really bad knocking to it and i reved it up and it goes away just a tad bit but its still really bad thats why i think i should just rebuild it and also it has 272,000 miles on it ... what do you guys think i should do ?? THANKS SOOOO MUCH
