This link may get you an idea on what's worth removing and what's not. I'd say one of the best things you can do would be to find replacement front seats (especially the drivers seat)

hey thanks that was very helpful. so in gutting the car i was going to either use a thin like cieling carpet or even the rubberized spray to help absorb all the noise that will come,and also with removing the rear wiper and antenna inyour opinion should i cover up the holes with a metal patch weld or go the easy way and just use some body putty filler?

Nice job destroying a low milage 91. Which is one of only 3600 sold in the US. Doing what you what will make it worthless. Losing rotation mass has been proven to be much more effective than staionary weight. I'd do flywheel, driveshaft and wheels before gutting an interior to make a heavy car only slightly less heavy. The majority of the weight that can be easily removed is in the spare tire and the drivers seat. I've had my interior apart before and there wasn't that much weight to it really. The car has a heavy chassis.

the antenna mast was busted so i removed it and shoved a piece of dried silicone inside of the hole and capped it with a piece of rubber grommet
completely removable if i ever decide to put a new one in. but between my ipod and satellite radio i probably wont.

im a firm believer in keeping things as stock looking as possible.

thought you were talking to me there for a second.

10 pound rotational mass is equal to 100 pound stationary or so ive read.
100 pounds ='s 1 second in the 1/4

No I just hate to see a nice supra interior destroyed just so the weight can be dropped by a 100 lbs. And with the rotation mass I have seen as people write as high as 1lbs Rotational = 20lbs Stationary or a low as 1lbs Rotational =1.4lbs Stationary

100lbs is not anywhere near equal to 1 second in a quarter mile... I've seen people gut the holy hell out of these beasts, swap out as much as possible with carbon fiber and aluminum and still only end up with a 3200lb sloth (but hey, it used to be 3500)..... they still sucked in the quarter mile and was now louder and more uncomfortable to drive than the lack of gains made it worth. If you want better mileage... try to lighten it... if you want more speed get a bigger turbo and throw more power at it.

The stock seats are HEAVY.... either get aftermarkets or seats from another car and build your own brackets, track down a JDM Recaro set, or just swap out the electric LH seat with a LH seat from a JDM MKIII (so you'll have a matching non-power set).

A lighter one-piece drive shaft will help, but not just due to the lowered rotating mass but because of the reduced frictional loss in the center carrier bearing and U joint. Get steel if you go this route it handles the stresses much better than aluminum and won't grenade nearly as soon. Any one-piece drive shafts should be checked every few thousand miles for cracks or swelling near the center.
