borg warner turbo . need info on it.
 
i found a borg warner turbo with any shaft play and no ding on the turbine, it looks bigger than my ct26. it has a lot of numbers arownd it but i dont know how to verify the specs. its made for john deere. it looks pretty nice and i will like to know if it can be use for my car. please if you know about it , reply. how can i verify its on good condition without having to installed yet. looks very clean and it can be use. thanks

ok , i was surfing the net and found this specs. its a model #177262. wheel dimension; 70mm exducer , 46mm inducer , 43 trim . and the housing A/R: turbine 1.15 , t4 style and 4.21" v band discharge. thats all that i can find. please help me telling if it works for my car. 1987 turbo supra, with 550 injectors , lexus maf , 3" exhaust , bigger intercooler , and a few more things. THANKS

these are pic that i found about it. the difference is that mine says John deere on the cold side. but its the same parts number

It's a pretty big holiday here in the US (figured you'd know that).... lots of us have stuff going on all weekend and are only checking in with our cell phones.

At a glance I'd say it's not going to spool nearly as quickly as it did on the truck you pulled it off of.... if you've got time it should do well. :bigthumb:

The shift in sizes are one factor but on top of those that A/R is going to make for some slow spooling from what I know. Calculating turbo flow and efficiency aren't my thing though so a second and third opinion would be a good idea. The CT-26 A/R is about .49 though.... it the inducer and exducer were the same size as the CT-26's it would already be a lot slower spooling.... more power potential with the larger wheels, but with the time it's going to take to reach its potential will you be past redline?
