Well I got them in and no more wind noise from them.
![]() Old versus New. As you can see the old one has a nice gap where the window was for 20 years. The first step is to remove the door panel which isn't too bad, but I have done it a few times already. ![]() Here are the 3 phillips head screws that attach the mirror. They can be a real pain to remove since toyota used thread lock. I only had to drill one out since the head became too stripped. I replaced them with nice allen head screws. And i didn't take a picture of it but there is a small screw that hold the door gasket that will also need to be taken out. ![]() Here are the two bolts that hold the top of the support, but the mirror must be removed first to get to them. ![]() And finally remove this nut on the inside of the door that holds the bottom of the support. In the end I think it was worth it. I don't think any fix to the old seal is near as good as a brand new seal. |
