Default i`m new here and need a good advice for upgrading my fantasma

i have a 87 supra 5 speed, i will upgraded with a walbro 255 pump , rc 550 injectors , lightweighted flywheel "14 pounds" , new intercooler and hks type bov , 3" exhaust system and the fuel regulator . I`m deployed in Iraq right now but as soon I get to the states I will start putting it together. I need to know what else I can get to improve it. It got the stock turbo and I will change the head gasket for a HKS one and the head studs. thank you , Q

Hey, I figured i'd return the favor.

Those upgrades sound like a great start. When you do the flywheel you'll want to put a stronger clutch in to hold the increase in power you'll be attaining. Also supra-store.com has a really nice one piece aluminum drive shaft that helps lighten up the drive train for much quicker response. I would consider upgrading the suspension so that it can handle the increased power (so the car doesn't squat so hard when you throttle it). A nice electronic boost controller will go very well with the increased fuel flow.

oh, and with the larger injectors and the high flow fuel pump you'll want to run the maf off a lexus v8. this upgrade will also allow you to run more boost(from that nice boost controller!!) with out hitting fuel cut.

and if you really wanna have fun. upgraded cam shafts with adjustable timing gears are fun..

nothing specific no. But the supra store.com web site has pretty quality stuff. Now you'll notice the manual boost controllers are cheaper. and they do work but with an electronic bc you'll spool a lot quicker and peek boost will hold once reached. with manual the boost will start to fade as the rpm's climb near the top of the rev range. This is because the load on the engine decreases, and boost is directly related to load.

when you do purchase your exhaust.

Get the turbo back hks super dragger. Don't got for a cat back system. The Hks super dragger has a great sound(not stupid loud) and i know some people that have gained almost 30WHP with the addition of that system. Again available on supra store

Dang 89ST, I hope suprastore.com is paying you much $$$ for all the advertising you're giving them lol

This isn't really performance specific, but make sure when you start doing all of your work you don't neglect your trans and diff gear oil. And I'd recommend running a synthetic oil (my preference is Royal Purple). The reduced friction allows a cooler running engine, not to mention it being a lot smoother and revving *slightly* quicker

Be careful were you shop, I wouldnt suggest buying from suprastore. I have a EBC upgraded turbo that fits stock manifold and down pipe, down pipes, clutch. Let me know what u might need im parting my supra and its all going.
