from what i understand its all the same thing
just like the 7mge is non turbo and the 7mgte is turboed..
goes the same for the 2jzgte.. the 2jzge in non turbo and 2jzgte is..
the swap is all the same, to be quite honest

i know the swap is possible im thinking about doing it..
but im just posting so a more supra savvy dude can help you.
good luck

I'll just say that chowder is right... the majority of the swap will be identical. Some of the electronics are different but not in anyway that changes the recipe to any significant degree.

Obviously you haven't been here very long. This is NOT a bolt-in swap. Lots of work to get a 2jz swap on a 7m.

Seth, the reason you don't find much N/A swaps is because, with all the work involved, why do a N/A? The gains between the N/As are not that big. But, with the Turbos, they are AWESOME!!!!! More than enough to make it worthwhile.

i wasnt even talking about the swap itself,
i was talking about the ecu and electrical wiring, its very similar, or the same.

The 2JZ-GE is a lot easier to add a turbo to than the 7M-GE, makes a lot more power and is VERY solid... and of those is a good reason for swapping one in. If they want to add a turbo later it'll be that much easier. If they just want a little more power and a LOT more reliability it's not a bad choice at all.

just agreeing to what cre said..
"the swap is identical...except for electrical wiring...but wont change anything to a significant degree"

which is why it wouldnt be a difficult swap(electronically), like a 2jz in a 240sx...
didnt think i needed to clarify what wouldnt be difficult..it was pretty clear..
but thanks for the tip i will surely clarify from now on...
just makes it a hell of alot easier for everyone!
sorry :P
