The collector has two O-ring gaskets; they're quite inexpensive (maybe $5ea). Sure you can do it yourself as long as you can get the bolts loose. After 2 decades they're usually absolute monsters but soaking them with PB Blaster a couple times and then letting it soak in for a night usually helps.
