1jz/2jz is a better choice. direct swap.

so will any year of a 7mge work? i notice some differences on the intake manifolds... also what would be need to swap in an NA 2jz? trying to keep everything as cheap and simple as possible as a mechanic will be doing the swap. this is my daily driver so i need it done quickly otherwise i would tackle the job:)

go with a 7M if u need the car then u dont need to swap all the wiring harness and ECU. =D

yeah.. that makes sense... so does anyone know if the later 7mge's are different than the earlier one's? the intake manifold on my car looks like it has removable plates whereas others just have the smooth y-shaped piping with no plates.

mines got plates also what year is urs and what year had the plates!

mine is a 1992... im thinking it may be the 90-92(not sure) that have the plate right after the throttle body, right where the the intake manifold pipe splits into 2 pipes...
