If you have the money go ahead and do a 2JZ swap but it will definately cost a lot more. Will be more reliable too. As for the OBD2 you might be better off going with a pre96 2J with OBD1 that way you don't need to worry about the downstream O2 sensors and it will probably be easier to tune. Not sure but thats what I think.
