is that an iridium plug?

i am Not sure I think it is nothing special (copper maybe) it just stays in the correct heat range to maximize output.

In the TSRM it says which plugs to use, all I can remember off the top of my head is 7MGTE's use a double platinum NGK plug with a heat range of 6....

Straight from the TSRM:

7MGTE- NGK BCPR6EP-N8
7MGE- NGK BCPR5EP11

Don't run cooler plugs unless you really need cooler plugs... they'll just foul. There's no additional power to be made from just running a cooler plug for the hell of it.

As for the plugs, I don't care for the "boutique" bull $h!t... just stick with NGK copper or platinum plugs.

Any problem with running NGK iridium s since that what i'm using now? My 2zzge uses them but it is a higher compression motor.

I ran those the entire time my car was N/A with no problems at all. I just don't think they're really any longer lived than platinums and their actually less conductive.

The whole copper vs platinum vs iridium thing is more a matter of laziness than anything. In the end none costs any less than the other, it's more to do with the frequency of replacement.

the e3 plugs suck ass. they foul out really quick. my cousin threw them in his wrx with 3" turbo back exhaust intake and stage 2 tune and they fouled out within like 3000 miles

Running colder heat ranges on stock hp levels is no good, i run bk7re's i believe thats one step colder than stock but im making more hp.

I head bad things about e3's
