Default Machine Work Costs

I have a 7mGTE with a blown head gasket at 126k miles. I have decided to go ahead and rebuild it. What is the average cost to have your normal rebuild stuff done. I am planning on having the head flattened for use with a metal head gasket and a valve job. (maybe three angle if i can afford it )

If anyone has, within the last year or two, has rebuilt a 7mge, I would much be much obliged if you could provide with me a breakdown of costs or an overall cost for everything. I know prices vary by area and such but none of the machinists in my area will give me an estimate up front. ( I live in Montana and everyone does V8s apparently )

So if you have it, a breakdown of what costs what would be nice but I'll settle for the overall cost.

i was quoted at 900 for the engine being completely refurbished, but left open...
250 in gaskets for the entire engine, oil, and radiator fluid. Do the math friend.

He spent quite a few hours with the dremel cleaning out the ports. Did a very nice job of a light port n' polish. I had started on my own but decided to let someone who knows what there doing to finish it. And also he heil coiled some of the exhaust manifol studs. Plus he is a very short walk from my house.

P&P gets quite expensive. For general head work, tanking, valve stem seals, cam lash adjustment, valves lapped, dye inspection and vacuum testing will generally run between $200 and $400... it varies a LOT depending on where you are located as well as the skills of the shop.
