Being new as well I can tell you there is a ton of good info on this topic. Try using the search tool. I have spent hours pouring through and it has been very helpful. The list of possible problems is long so try to narrow it down by troubleshooting a few things. That is where the previous threads really help. My Supra was doing something like yours and it has been a combination of things. As you start to narrow the symptoms down others will be able to help you more. Welcome and happy hunting.
