Default Brakes question, feedback needed.

so i just had my front rotors replaced and about a week after my brakes started to squeak, now my mechanic said its the brake dirt that builds up and it takes some time for the rotors to wear in or something like that i just need some feed back?

What kind of brake pads do you have on there? I.e. semi metallic, ceramic, organic...

More often than not it's due to the material the pad is made out of; the failure to install or replace the pad shims; or glazing of the pads.

Read up: http://www.stoptech.com/whitepapers/...otors_myth.htm

Ask any *well educated* brake tech and they'll point out that you can tell if a rotor is warped by simply spinning the spindle with the caliper on and measuring the clearance. Since learning this I've watch mine and my friends' cars rotors I always assumed were warped never were. An engineer friend was quick to point out that similar metals are used to transport and pour molten metals... and those containers go a long time before warping.
