Default What do you call this part? Part Number?

I am currently trying to bring my 92 turbo close to stock looking. Right behind the rear timing cover there is a little plastic(?) piece that covers the wiring that goes over the top of the engine. I put a box around it in the photo. I want to get this piece, but was unable to find it in the Supra EPC/TSRM. Anyone know what this is called or a part number?

I just call it the wire harness cover.... so do others.

You can't get them separate from the harness... sorry.

Aw, that's a shame. I'll watch for a part out or I may end up buying a new harness sometime down the road. It seems the previous owner thought he was a better electrician than he really was. I've found a few bad "repaired" connections. Thanks again cre.

I don't know that any of the engine harnesses are still available from Toyota... most models have been out of stock and discontinued for years now. It's worth asking, but you may not be able to find a new one.

Oh... and they ran around $500, IIRC.

Ouch, it just gets worse. Sounds like I need to get out my soldering iron.

Are the harnesses specific for each year? Is it a pre-89 vs 89+ thing?

I don't remember but I think it was more than just the obvious 4: pre89 GTE, pre89 GE, 89+ GTE, 89+ GE. I can't think of any reasons off the top of my head as to why there would be any other versions for 7Ms though.

Hey, good news! The folks at the following link are going to be producing a carbon fiber wire harness cover.
