it is way easier to torque the head down without the cams in and if ur going arp head studs i found it easier to but the washers in the head before placing the head on the block. make sure u take your time if u have never done it before and pictures of before may help u when ur putting it back together.
as far as the timing belt i would do it anywas while ur there just for peace of mind sake and the fact that it is only like fifty bucks if that |
