As you said, too good to be true, even though the P& P is the same price as the Turbo, also no mention of the waste gate, which is not big issue providing the stock one is easy, fitted. I think I would contact some of the other buyers that have bought turbo`s from this seller. Looking at the feed back history there are few turbo`s, but none exactly the same as this listing, still worth contacting some of the previous buyers to see what they think. Probably imported from China, so difficult to make a judgment without a brand name. Also, no mention of any warranty? General rule though, you get what you pay for.

It’s the same with this seller Link they are listed as item located United Kingdom, but they are despatched direct from Taiwan (why don`t they say) . Difficult to make a judgment on the quality without feed back from other buyers. Even then they could be ok for a year, then fail big time at high speed.

I don't really want to start a new thread because my question also deals with ebay

Any views on the generic intercoolers available?

shoot I was going to get one. with the pipes included. the BOV they provide is usually junk. but you can get a front mount intercooler with the pipes for under 200. just look at the type.. Tube N fin. bars n plates. decide which one is best and go for it. the mounting is an issue and so is the pipe routing. be prepared to relocate the oil cooler and cut your own pipes and probably a few holes for the pipes. but other then that. I don't see any draw backs.

I figured the bov would be junk.

I'm not really worried about modifying anything to make it fit. I have a few different welders and can bend pipe if needed, as well as fabricate brackets. I just can't justify spending 1200 on some fancy kit when you can piece together the kit for less. My only issue was finding an intercooler that owuld fit

I bought a cx racing intercooler with 2.5" hardpipe kit(no bov)off ebay for my 89. Took 10 days to ship and cost $300 after the "make an offer" option. Listed as "bolt on",although not even one bolt did,it really wasn't that bad to install. Its way bigger than stock (also heavier) and looks 100 times better. I have not gone over 8psi with it yet but no noticable press drop or leaks. Be prepared to relocate the oil cooler, steering cooler, one horn, and some plastic. Quality can be described as decent especially considering the price. The aluminum piping kit was very nice although the tabs for the breather piping are welded on crooked but imo this was a good deal. Its not an HKS or Spearco but I only paid what shipping and taxes cost for one of those and I got the hard pipes.
Hope that helps someone. I'm looking at the "popularly priced" t-61 turbo on ebay myself. It at least looks worth the price..... soon.

I agree, you get what you pay for. It might seem like good quality, but then it might not last as long before it starts falling apart. You wont know that till it happens. oh, im not just talking about the turbo but the FMIC too. Good luck.
